When God told me to believe for the largest budget we’ve ever had for an event, I knew we were on the right track for amazing things to happen…
Isn’t that how faith works?
You use the faith you got, be faithful with the little, and God increases you!
So, I knew I would see great provisional miracles… AND I HAVE!
We are at 96% of a very large budget (for us, it is!) that covers stage, lighting, music, sound engineers, police, security, tents, barricades, and other major and overlooked necessities, like portable toilets… yeah, we need those.
In addition, we know that part of the plan is to have thousands of dollars in giveaways.
But why would we need to spend so much money in prizes to giveaway for the days of Bradenton Hopefest?
I see it like this…
If you’re trying to fill a festival with thousands of church-going Christians, you need a well-known worship band (Bethel, Hillsong, Chris Tomlin…), some big-name preachers (Louie Giglio, John Piper…), and some hip merchandise for sale.
But what if you want to fill a festival with the poor, the destitute, drug addicts, prostitutes, gangbangers, and people who would never set foot in a church?
That’s when BIG PRIZES come in.
You don’t think the sound of winning a flat screen TV would be appealing to anyone in this crowd? What about Beats Headphones and Xbox Consoles for the teenagers?

This is not a brand new, untested concept.
4 years ago I flew to Pittsburg, PA to receive training from a ministry that was holding these types of events throughout the U.S.
I knew the Lord was getting me ready to do something – and here we are today.

So, the truth is that with hard work and the right implementation, we can attract thousands of people (many of the LOST) to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ – some of them for the FIRST TIME!
That’s why we use PRIZES. Big GIVEAWAYS! Lots of them!!
I’m still seeking the Lord about giving away a CAR on the last night – not sure yet…

There has been a great amount of fear, insecurity, and instability spread throughout our communities during the year of 2020. This has caused lower income areas to be the most negatively impacted, with a rise in suicides, depression, drug use, and overall crime. Economic shutdowns have left many people without jobs, little contact with their loved ones, and with no place to go and worship God.

We have led more than 2,000 people to the Lord during our last outdoor events and local outreaches combined.
In the last 4 years DeBarros Ministries has been organizing, promoting, and participating in evangelistic outreaches and events in the United States and abroad. At the leading of the Lord and with His help, we have been honored to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to thousands of people.
In return, we have seen thousands of people come to faith in Jesus and be delivered from their troubles in places like Mexico, Cuba, New York, Ohio, and throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties, including Manatee County Jail (most commonly known as “Port Manatee”) and Business Networking Meetings known in our community as Gatekeepers SRQ.
By following God’s calling in these areas, we have obtained the experience and relationships we believe are necessary in order to deliver an event in Bradenton in a matter of excellence.
